A 4-hour postnatal care program providing extended medical and feeding support for mothers and babies in the early postnatal period.

This program is designed for families who would benefit from unhurried, coordinated care beyond a standard consultation, in a supportive clinical environment.

What the program includes

Over four hours, care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team and includes a combination of:

  • Comprehensive postnatal medical assessment of mother and baby

  • Extended lactation support, including supported feeds (1–2 feeds depending on baby)

  • Individual 1:1 care with a GP, IBCLC-qualified lactation consultant and postnatal nurse

  • Observation, guidance and practical education

  • Opportunities for group or peer discussion (where appropriate)

Care is flexible and responsive to the needs of each family on the day.

We offer space to feel seen, held, validated and encouraged.

Our Space

  • Our space is designed for you and your comfort in mind. Private pods with an electric king single bed and Sacred Bundle bassinet provide a quiet space for you and your baby to settle into.

Dimmable lights and a curtain allow for low sensory downtime and privacy.

If you're in need of rest and sleep, we are able to support you in having a nap.

If you'd prefer not to sleep, each pod has relaxation and chill out tools (iPad and headphones with access to streaming services, podcasts, music and audiobooks).

  • Connect in a relaxed area with the team or other families. Within this space you will find tea and coffee space, integrated fridge, our baby change area and Juno library.

This space can be used for group classes and playtime or you are able to move into our separate community space and spread out.

  • Juno sits next to the banks of the river, close to historically sacred Indigenous birthing areas that have long held the transition through and beyond birth.

Today there are walking paths, seating and spaces for picnics, rugs and connection with nature.

  • We recognise that the financial outlay of the full day program can be too great for families, especially prior to meeting the EMSN.

Because of this, we developed a modified extended care program to meet the needs of families.

  • Yes! We also run a full-day stay program that allows more expansive care, rest and feeding support. More information can be found on our Postnatal & Breastfeeding Day Stay.

  • We are currently welcome babies aged 0-6 months. We are unable to accommodate babies more than 6 months at this stage, due to fit-out and safety restrictions.

  • We kindly ask that partners assist with checking in and then continue on with their day. We often have people breastfeeding in the space and would like all to feel comfortable to do so.

We have a co-working space in the building on the floor below Juno that can be accessed to allow partners to work on site if desired. Partners are welcome to help with check-in and check-out 20 minutes prior to departure.

  • We can accommodate dietary restrictions including dairy free, soy free, vegetarian, vegan, nut free and gluten free food.

  • All families are welcome and we would be delighted to support you with your babies. Dr Nicole is a mum of twins and she understands the challenges of accessing services for more than one baby.

For twins, please book as normal with our reception team. If you have triplets or higher order multiples, we would be happy to support you but ask you contact us directly so we can organise enough hands to allow you to have a proper rest on the day.

  • You are welcome to come once or more than once, as often as you like. We currently run the program according to demand.
